So what does it feel like?
To erase everything you had
What does it feel like?
To fall in love again

Exactly seven months ago I boarded my flight to London to start a new life. β¨
New country, new rhythm, new hopes. The first few months in a new country can be intimidating, lonely and overwhelming. While I felt all these emotions, three things got me going every day.
Curiosity - new life is happening every day; what is today going to bring? Possibility - London, an adventure in every corner. Anything is possible!
Music - My companion for all my walks to the office, to the tube, to the gym!
Would you say every city has a mood? π€οΈ An energy that defines it. That captures your heart and influences you in specific ways?
There is a line from Macbeth which I can never forget from when I first read it in school: So foul and fair a day I have not seen... very ominous and very moody...a sentence I have used many times to reference to the weather or the environment or energy!
As I was settling down into my new routine my first months in London were penned by music, especially two artistes - Ben BΓΆhmer and Black Coffee. For those who follow me on my Instagram would notice I use their music a lot through my posts.
You would agree with m me when I say that when you are in some kind of "isolation", not loneliness, but just find time to just be and breathe, you can really listen. Listen to the voices in your head, listen to that gut that has been screaming at you for years, and really listen to music and lyrics - like they are speaking to you.

Probably every day I would listen to Ben BΓΆhmer and Black Coffee while walking or commuting - all their songs, their entire body of work, and through their work I discovered more artistes. A lot of their music is unspoken. You feel the energy, the beats, the highs, the lows. Everything is energy. And for me, their music became the mood of London. It defined my chapter here, (so far)! β€οΈ
And I feel so, so, so lucky to watch them live in London in the same week with some very dear friends who made this so, so unforgettable! We spoke a lot about life, our journeys and the FREEDOM of living, when you stop wearing filters of judgement, of egos, of how things "should be", of appeasing people and trying to become small to "fit", of dimming your light for others and return to your pure, innocent, child-like free self. πΈ
That for me is London's mood and that is the emotion I feel in their music. When you're listening to the sounds, the unspoken words, the lyrics, the energy and your intuition...it all kinda syncs! And the funniest gift or sign β I was posting a draft on my Instagram stories before both the DJs came out with a soundtrack from their work I love - and I chose Superman (Black Coffee) and Rust (Ben BΓΆhmer). And will you believe me when I say that was their opening song for their set!!! I was like...this is crazy!!! It's like them saying Hey Suchi, I see you π! Wink! Wink!
This year has been a gift and all the travels and adventures and friendships and love - the biggest blessing. β¨
As we go into the second half of this year, as seasons begin to change, all I can say is I'm Ready. π
And I need your voice to save me
I need the sun to kiss my skin
Wake up, no time to go backwards...
I think I'm ready for you
Honestly, I do π
